Feh
I should probably put this in the bitch fest but it's not really a bitch. More like a general feh, as a friend would say. This has been a bad day and here I am twitching at 3:19 and very much twitching by myself.
Not that I have any right to gripe because it's 3:19 and I'm very much twitching by myself but nonetheless. If I can't be honest with myself here then there should be no here.
Today was just an all around general suck-ass day. Nothing big or traumatic besides the USA's heinous loss to Europe in the Ryder Cup. Just an all around day. Nothing wanted to work with the internet. Blogrolling won't roll, tag-board is down, identical installations in two different directories produce two different outcomes, a gotard who for the past week has been completely into himself and sharing of it every chance he gets, it was just a crap day. High stress levels, a bit of blah and admittedly not really in the mood to be twitching very much by myself.
I've been calmer lately, can't actually recall the last time I was in high twitch mode like tonight. I mean, I know people are tired, I understand that. But sometimes you just do things because someone needs you to. I'm not needy, needy bothers me. I don't need often but sometimes I do.
Gahh, look. She is human after all.
So here it is, 3:28 AM and I am twitching very much by myself and nowhere close to sleep. Woo.
I think tomorrow I'm declaring an official day off of life. I'm finally going to watch Haunted Mansion and the Passion of the Christ and sort through a head full of too many thoughts. Luckily, not all are morose.
Feh, I say, FEH.
I'm going to go talk to Claude now.

GAH!
"And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying
Are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It’s a very very
Mad world
Mad world
enlarged in your world
Mad world"

The Riverman
This movie disappointed me. It stated out great but somewhere alog the way they seem to have forgotten that the movie was about the Green River Killer and not yet another Ted Bundy movie.
Elwes did a good job as Bundy, he had the no blink stare down and he obviously spent time watching Bundy because he had the whole facial/body movement thing going on. But the movie was supposed to be about a different serial killer who killed even more than ole Ted did.
The whole end of the movie was Bundy, it was like they did a quick PS at the end of the movie; by the way, Gary Ridgeway did in fact turn out to be the GRK, thank you for watching. What the hell?
It wasn't a bad movie but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. The GRK is a fascinating case and maybe one of these days they'll do a full movie on him and how he got past the police for so long.
I'd give it a 7 for entertainment quality value but a 5 for GRK information.

Blockbuster Home Delivery
As if I don't have enough movies to choose from, I go and sign up with Blockbuster's home delivery service. It's cheaper than Netflix and friendlier so I said what the hell.
STILL can't get a damn copy of the Passion of the Christ but it's top on my queue so it has to come sooner or later. Come on, folks. Get off the Jesus mania and let those of us who have yet to see the flick have a chance!
Today in the mail (they're quick) I got Haunted Mansion and the unrated Soul Plane. Rather light by my standards but Soul Plane looked funny, I love those 'black humour' movies like Barbershop and stuff. Haunted Mansion looked cute and I do like Eddie Murphy in these movies.
Tomorrow I should get an unrated Taking Lives which I eagerly await. Angeline Jolie is one of the few actresses I genuinely enjoy watching and it's got a serial killer so I'm there already.
As for the rest of my queue, it stands as follows:
Passion of The Christ [WS] R Short Wait
Angels in America - Disc 1 NR Coming Soon
Angels in America - Disc 2 NR Coming Soon
Home on the Range [WS] PG Coming Soon
Mean Girls [WS] PG13 Coming Soon
The Alamo [P&S] PG13 Coming Soon
The Day After Tomorrow [WS] PG13 Coming Soon
Fahrenheit 9/11 R Coming Soon
Van Helsing [WS] PG13 Coming Soon
It's going to be a very movie oriented Fall. Cold weather, warm grog and good flicks.

STILL Going..
Yes yes yes.
On page 324, I am still plodding through the 9/11 Report. Last night I discovered A&E did a two hour documentary on the Report so it was like watching the Cliff Notes. Most useful, Captain.
As it is, I had to take a break. Before I got the 9/11 Report I had started a 500+ monster by Nelson DeMille. I loved The General's Daughter, I thought it was one of Travolta's best. I didn't even know he wrote a sequel to it, my dad gave it to me when I was up there. It's cool, I picture Travolta in the book and I really like the Paul Brenner character. I also like that it's 576 pages, I love a long complicated read.
A long complicated fiction read, a long complicated Commission Report is a whole other story!
I'm somewhere around 400 in Up Country then I've got a Connelly to get into but Connelly will get his own mention here sooner or later with Harlan Ellison, Umberto Eco, TS Eliot and the ever favourite, Andrew Vachss.
I'd like to finish the 9/11 Report on 9/11. Just seems right.
