We’re a Go Tonight!
Two weeks in a row, woo!
The show is on tonight! I won't be starting earlier than 9 as I'm going to try and run from 9-12 so tune in, come by the chatroom and get the mojo.
Put the olympics on without the volume and come join us for a few hours of good tunes, witty banter and good vibes all around.
I promise the cookies will be freshly baked.

We’re On Tonight
There will be a show tonight, as lame-o as it may be!
Olympic talk (because I am a fiend), dialysis bitching, your requests, fucktard of the week and the usual level of me pretending to be a radio show host!
9PM EST is the official start time, sometimes we go early and babble.
Turn the volume down on the Olympics and come listen to the show. We'll be in the chatroom doing the chatting and I hope to see you there.
GO USA!
**UPDATE***
The show turned out to be pretty good and it's up for download at the podomatic site!

Book! Thank You, Someone!
I got a kickass book today. It's actually three books in one by one of the most esteemed mountain climbers ever and I love it! As soon as I finish the biography of Gordon Ramsay I can't wait to tear into it.
I did not order this wonderful book, it was a gift.
Thank you!
I have no idea who it is I am thanking. There was no indication in the package who the book was from and I don't know if that was how it was meant to be or not.
If so, then thank you very much mystery book sender! You picked a gem! If not, please let me know so I can thank you or at least offer you a kidney-friendly cookie.

Blood and Samsung
They took my blood Tuesday, this month's testing. The results matter this month more than usual, it's the first month of testing with my going to hell dialysis twice a week. If the bad shit is high he's going to try and put me back on three days a week and I'm not going. I actually get to feel good and not throw my brains up three days a week now and I'm managing on that. If the levels are high I'm going to get preached at and "I told you so" from the doom nurses.
In the meantime I went and got a new phone. I was having a poor me pity party after a particularly bad vomit session and I decided to buy something I didn't need. So I got a Samsung Instinct and switched to Sprint after I collected my soul back from Verizon. Spiffy little phone.
I've decided I don't want to go on the transplant list. More on that another time but it's a final decision.
The catheter is bothering me tonight, I'd really like to rip it out and stomp on it but alas, it's attached to my jugular vein.
Got 'Dan in Real Life' in the mail today, I'll watch it tomorrow. It better make me laugh, I'm in dire need of a good guffaw.

Rock and Roll Dialysis
I found this kind of funny.
I brought my iPod to dialysis on Saturday. Usually I watch tv but I wanted music Saturday so it came with me. I put it on as soon as they had me hooked up like a can of iced tea.
First I listened to OK 2B Gay 5 times in a row and then I moved on to other stuff. Hard biting stuff. I happened to look over to see what the woman in the chair next to me was watching and it was something I had never seen before.
Bibleman. Yes, Bibleman. He has a superhero costume and all and he had the kids singing and dancing in church. Here I am jamming away to Metallica's 'Master of Puppets' and other evil Satan music and my neighbour is contentedly watching Bibleman. After Bibleman it was Davey and Goliath.
Small things have to amuse you when you are in dialysis or you will go nuts.
Then when they were taking the needles out of the guy's arm across from me they pulled something wrong and the blood went EVERYWHERE. It was like a fountain for a couple of seconds, who knew that much blood could come out of a tube! The old guy was very calm, I give him credit. I would have been shrieking up a storm. The nurse calmly cleaned up the blood while a few of us watched, horrified. Yah, maybe I can't take a shower with the catheter but at least it's easy in and quick off without any fountains.
I'll be bringing the iPod again tomorrow, I like rock and roll dialysis.
