When I was a kid I used to get all giddy around my birthday. I still do, that hasn't changed. I'll always love birthdays and cake and celebrating.

For as long as I can remember, every year I make a list of wishes I know can't have but would love to have if I woke up with the magical powers to change things.

This is my list for this year, in no particular order.

1. Good health for my parents (my dad off the oxygen, my mother healthy)
2. Claudie to be here.
3. Good health for Tony, Rod's mom and Patrisa.
4. A long life for Tempy and the pets of all those I care for.
5. Darkstar to sign his contract.
6. Everest this year.
7. KMRL to be picked up by Sirius.
8. A Zimmer
9. To be connected to the Golden Carrot again.
10. To make a difference in the lives of 3 people this coming year.

If I wake up tomorrow with magical powers I promise to let you know.

In other news, it's five weeks today since I've smoked a cigarette. I'm halfway through the patch and in my last week of Step One. It feels amazing, I feel a lot more healthy than I have in a long time (sniffles and snuffles from my mother's bronchitis aside).
