Appreciation

I don't do this often but I dedicate this entry to Rod. I was all set to move the warbles, even had a new and double-secret domain to load them to.

Then as I was sitting there in the living room in a fit of histrionics, I got two messages on the cel phone that made me stop the tears and actually smile. And think.

There will always be people who don't like what I write here, there will always be people who are bothered by the words here, either because they see themselves in my posts or because my mind produces thoughts too strange.

I can't be concerned with that, he made me understand this. This isn't written for anyone other than myself and if it offends anyone to know what's really in my head then maybe the offended aren't people I need inside my walls.

In any case, now I have a secret domain as backup just in case. But I want to thank you, Rod, once again. You make sense in a sea of confusion and your words of sanity were registered, processed and accepted.

Thank you.

  1. A pretty good generic blog disclaimer, packed with helpful hints on blog-reading etiquitte for the reader. But then, it might be a mistake to expect civility and courtesy from those who feel that being offensive is the best way to make a point.

“The internet is a place that encourages free and creative expression, and as in any environment where people are given this freedom, conflict may arise. If an author uses language or materials that offend you, leave. Contacting the person or their isp, demanding they remove the content or change their ways is absurd because you are viewing their content of your own free will by visiting their site. Simply stop going there and you won’t have to see whatever it is you don’t like about the site.”

And always remember never to feed the trolls.
