Bitch Bitch Bitch

So the other night I log on to the other mud I haunt only to hear Time of Darkness being insulted by a player and one of the staff members saying "there are no other muds." Hello, do you realise I'm sitting right there when you say that? What the hell is ToD and the other 1,772 games on mudconnector? It's an arrogant and obnoxious thing to say and yes, it surprised me to hear from a fellow staff member with me right there.

They player is a moron. His gripe was because we don't let people act like HS girls in an MSN chat room on IRL. Save the hihis, the <3 or whatever the hell it is, the 'u,' the pwned, all of it. I find it amazingly sad that an educated man over 30 has nothing better to do than knock something because it doesn't condone his acting like a friggin' 17 year old HS girl. I usually switch my windows when he comes on, if he wants to make an ass out of himself trying to be a kid that's his business. But what the hell is that shit when people diss ToD for no reason.

I will not apologise for insisting on a modicum of literacy on my IRL channel. It's pretty evident from what we see graduating high school these days that the dumbing down of America is in full swing. I won't say I'm sorry for not contributing to it. Nor do I expect ToD to be for everyone. I have no hard feelings towards people who don't want to deal with literacy restrictions and I willingly sacrifice a large who list full of morons going 'pwned' for a small who list of people who actually enjoy learning new words and speaking in full sentences.

It's sad when that is mocked without provocation and it becomes even moreso when the one doing the mocking is older, educated and has a good job and keen mind. Please, impress the little girls all you want, that's entirely your choice, but why must you go out of your way to do it by knocking someone else's world?

I was accused falsely by a backstabbing asshole with an ego of not being able to get along with female mudders. I look at the female mudders in this other place and if that's what's out there then damn skippy I have a problem with female mudders and I won't apologise for that either. What? An example? Sure thing!!! "xxxxxxxxx quotes 'xxx is sleeping with a fat chick right now' This is the level it's at and I'm supposed to feel bad because I chase shit like that off ToD? Nope. I saw that and it made me want to vomit. I wanted to speak up and tell the person that she may have a pretty face but she has one ugly vile personality. Of course it was followed by how non-fat she is and how hot and so on. Absolutely no thought to what's inside a person, their entire worth is based solely on how big their tits are or how hot all the horny mud guys think they are.

And I'm getting MOCKED because I chase this out of my world? I should thank the moron who said it, guess I have successfully established the reputation that ToD is not a place for blathering idiots and attention-happy girls. See hat overweight player over there? She has more substance in her thumb than you have in your entire head.

My reward is in the growing who list as of late. My reward is the new players who come and are told of the literacy clause and stick around anyway. My reward comes when players say they went to dictionary.com to look up some word they heard on the mud. My reward comes when I get a tell thanking me for being a hardass and that it does carry over into their real lives. My reward comes when I log on and can have an actual conversation with the players. When there are 15-20 people on the who list and not one of them is saying 'pwned' or 'u' or trying to rile up the male players with how stunning they are.

But that's my thing. I don't go out of my way to mock those who choose to go the other route, that's their business. I've said nothing about it and was friendly with one of the girls until the fat chick comment. But when people start saying shit on public channels that knocks ToD, it's time to come out of the corner with claws fully extended.

What is it Judge Judy always says (besides don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining)? Ah yes. "Beauty fades, dumb is forever." Amen, Judge Judy.

Ok, I've needed to vent that for a while now, it's been on my mind and festering in the back of my head. Pick another target for your people-impressing, ToD is not up for grabs.
