Child Killing

I am shocked and disgusted with this case in Illinois, this madman poor excuse of a 'father' who stabbed his own daughter once in each eye. As hardened and cynical as I am, I can't even look at a picture of either girl without tearing up.

As soon as they announced there had was no evidence of sexual violation I knew it had to be a family member. Anything that violent has to either be a family member or the rarest of rare sort of psychopath (not that they don't exist but they're so very rare). This didn't seem random.

Maybe the Pope is right, what sort of sick world is this when a father can commit such a vile act on his own child. And in no way do I mean to diminish the murder of Krystal Tobias, she was guilty only of trying to defend her best friend instead of running off and she died for it. But a father?!?!?

I'm really dreading this Summer, the little voice in my head is predicting a rough Summer for child abductions and murders and it scares me. If I had a kid I know damn well he or she would be off to camp for the whole Summer.

Parents, put down the Xanax and open your eyes. Your kid could easily be next.
