Content?  Do I Dare?

Nah, not me. I don't allow myself to be content, content is for people who actually get things done.

So why am I sitting here at 1:32 PM then, drinking a blue Jolt in its new 24 Oz. battery can and grinning? Not a little grin either, we're into Cheshire Cat mode here.

The Warble layout is done.
The bookstore is up and running.
The reseller site is 97% there.
The 'other' site I've been working on is looking better than I could have hoped for.
I've come to terms with the permanent end of what was once a very special friendship.

Seems I am in fact allowing myself a brief moment of content.

More on content inside.

So yah, content.

This is not to confuse content with happy, I haven't quite reached happy yet. It's weird though, to actually see things coming together after 2 years or so of talking about them, it's a sense of accomplishment of some sort.

Same thing with last night's show. I got more positive feedback on last night's show than any of the others. I thought I sounded different, it was good juju to know other people heard it too. I don't claim to be good by any means but last night was the best I've come out with yet and I enjoyed listening to it for a change. I didn't cringe during the talking parts. Who knows, maybe next week I'll have zero listeners but last night's was a score and I've learned to take each little victory as it comes and not read too much into it, they're fleeting.

I'm not getting much done today so far, I'm really tired. I guess it's alright to take a day off and catch up on sleep but I feel guilty when I do that. Maybe I should just re-load the pipe and chill. Not likely. Go wander the park and talk to strangers? Not with 84% humidity, thank you.

Ah well, I think I'll just sit here and yawn and enjoy this brief moment of content.

Yah, that's the ticket.

  2. Catching up on sleep is a good thing which you shouldn’t feel guilty for - last time you didn’t you ended up with pneumonia. (You won’t hear the end of it, either)

Rest up, hit work again after that.
