Courtesy in Link Whoring

Just because this is the internet doesn't mean there can't exist courtesy and manners.

I realise that on occasion people clean their blogrolls or links, I do the same myself. I do not, however, remove people who have me linked.

It would be a grand thing if people let people know when they cleaned their links, rather than continue to remain linked on the very blogs no longer deemed good enough to be linked to them. I totally respect a person's decision that my Warbles suck and they don't want to be linked here but my purpose in life is not to give free links to people who cut me from their list without word.

Don't be link greedy, if you're going to cut then speak up and be cut.

As for me, I officially promise that no blog I read (which is currently all on the blogroll) and no blog that wants mutual linky love will ever be cut without warning. I was raised better than that.

1. I only link to blogs I actually read and enjoy, whether or not they
   read and/or enjoy my blog.  I’d like to think that any blogroll I’m on
   that I’m on it becasue they like my blog, not because I linked them
   first or because they linked to me just to get a link-back.

   Chances are that if I ever link to someone, they never get cut.  That is
   unless their blog dissapears or they go months and months and months on
   end without an update.

   i feel that you should link to blogs you like. if they don’t link to you this not matters. i link only what i like. they not link me then no problem.  i not link for links.

6. There’s a difference.  I do both, I link the blogs I read that don’t have me linked but I enjoy - like Malfouka and the Daily Bitch - but when people specifically respond to a link exchange thing and then get the link and move it, it’s just rude.
