Death Watch

It's been a constant death watch since March 18th when they gave Terri the death sentence. Hard not to notice the ever present spectre of death everywhere you turn. Minnesota, Johnnie Cochran, Frank Perdue, Terri Schiavo and now the Pope. This is definitely the Spring of Death.

I feel like a ghoul, I've pretty much watched nothing but news channels since the 18th. Even Law & Order has been replaced by news. I've become this obsessed kook. The other night I had watched something like 12 straight hours of Terri Schiavo and I really wanted to play PS2 Jeopardy with Gotard but there was this fear. Fear of turning off the news and the second I do, it happens. Kook, kook I say! Obsess much, WK?

It's pretty amazing though. They said there were 70,000 people at the Vatican last night and when they showed them, they were ALL silent. Hard to imagine 70k people and not even the smallest of noises. All eyes turned to the windows and nary a sound.

Onward goes the Death Watch.
