Eat This
Someone who loves (I mean LOVES) to constantly remind the world how tortured, brilliant and misunderstood they are said something that pissed me off. This person loves to sit high atop the cross and rant about how much smarter they are than the rest of the world. No one will ever truly comprehend how hard it is so be such a genius amongst the common folks. Yes, one of those. Life is perpetually horrid and they must suffer incessantly because they are just so much smarter and better than the world.
This rocket scientist (no, not Utopia. Utopia truly is smart. This person isn't half of what they think they are) seems to think anyone who really wants to see Michael Vick fry and eats meat is a stinking hypocrite. I think that's possibly the most stupid comparison I've seen in a love time and I'd love your opinion.
Is eating meat in ANY way the same as what Vick did to domestic pet animals? I don't think so. What he did was beyond cruel and disgusting and I hope he rots in jail next to a 400 pound PETA member. I also do not think in ANY way that eating a cheeseburger is the same as drowning or hanging a bloodied dog that just fought for however long and lost.
Some people really need to stop touting how superior they are to everyone and go fix their own life. I mean really, they're so amazingly smart, right? Instead they sit around and pass asshole judgments on the rest of the world and tell anyone who will listen who smart they are, how hard it is to exist amongst us common folks and how (alas, play the drama music here) no one will ever get them.
Get THIS, asshole.
Now. You. Is it the same or not?

I could write a small essay, but the grist is that one is killed humanely for food, the other tortured to death by degrees for entertainment.

It’s amazing how some people can have such warped sense of reality.
I used to date someone who was like that, I’ll give an example. Years ago when Christopher Reeves was thrown from his horse and paralyzed, this person said to me, that he got what he deserves for riding a horse in the first place. I was gobsmacked!
Now this woman, is a professional dog trainer, and worked as a groom at a horse harness racing track! But she told me, with a straight face, that people enslave animals like horses and dogs for their own selfish reasons. This coming from a woman who owned 5 dogs and made her living teaching dog obecience classes and doing evaluations of dog behaviour, that sometimes lead to recommendations that the dog be put down!
These high and mighty people live in their white towers secure in the knowledge that they are the only ones with the answers. And with no grounding in reality and common sense. She was also partially a vegitarian, she would east chicken and fish, but not beef.
Beef cattle are bred for consumption, dogs are bred as companion animals, neither would exist without humans. While I believe it is our responsability to treat them ethically, they are not people and also not equal. Dogs have an empathic relationship with Humans, cattle do not.
You’ll never find a 400 lb Vegan, they’re all undernurished!
Vick and DMX deserve to be shunned and loose their fame and fortune, because they failed to keep a contract that’s existed between man and dog for milenia.

I just read about the Vick case and while I’m all for privacy rights (which, no doubt, the defence will try and use), this is an animal which can function autonomously, it’s just been domesticated. What he did was cruel and I’d send his ass to jail for a long time.
I don’t think consuming meat, per se, is animal cruelty. It’s called the food chain. However, participating in cruel practises, such as factory farming...that’s cruel. Simply buying ground beef and EATING it? No.
