For Once And For All

I finally found a fitting icon for this category.

Ugh. Between Peter Jennings and Dana Reeve I've become even more determined to quit the cigarettes. Note that I specified cigarettes, leave my other vice out of this category. Seriously though, way too much talk about lung cancer lately, it's managed to successfully scare the bejesus out of me. I have my patch. The Blogathon is over and I'm out of excuses. It's time to put it on and do the right thing for a change of pace.

I know it won't be easy. I know I'll eat small African nations in moments of stress and my otherwise charming personality (yes, I am otherwise charming) will morph into uber-shrew but at least my lungs will get a chance to recover.

I am going to do this. I have to stay alive for the kitten.

  1. Think you can try rubbing some of that off on my husband? I’m right there with you with all the lung cancer talk lately, I am have a personal freak out and have fled talk radio for the week as a result…

And on a less serious note, you say it like you only have one other vice. Silly WK, mudding and blogging may not be bad for your health (for the most part), but they sure are vices wink

*cheers your quitting* You can do it, hon - the uber-shrew will pass and you know we’re behind you despite it.

  2. Mudding and blogging are vices?  Oh, hell. Next you’ll tell me I shouldn’t drink so much.

I’m glad you’ve comitted to the quitting.  And I don’t think any of use are going to take it personally if you get a little cranky.

    Please, think of the kitten.
