Further Along the 9/11 Report
Well, I'm making progress at last. I'm somewhere in the mid 200's and it's up to the last week or so before the attacks. It's odd, in my head I guess I've done this but it seems like it's getting more ominous as I read of what Atta did the first week of Sept. and such.
One thing I didn't expect to get from the report is the validation of Bill Clinton. There's been so much spin about how Clinton did nothing with UBL (since the 9/11 Commission spells his name "Usama," so shall I) and how he pretty much nerfed the intelligence world.
Turns out this wasn't the case. It really seems Clinton did the best he could and was genuinely concerned about UBL. I highlighted the sections about Clinton, if I ever finish this book I'll go back and read them again.
But I wanted to report that the technical part of the read is getting easier and while I can't say I'm looking forward to the actual events of 9/11 reported, I'm eager to get to that part of the Report and continue the learning.
Still the most difficult read I've encountered.
<-- Steal me!
