Getting Ready
This is some really good juju, folks. I am completely blown away by the kindness I've seen from those of you who sponsored me. When I signed up my goal was to get one hundred dollars in sponsorship and here I am at near four hundred. Thank you.
I'll be tweaking this main page tomorrow, taking off most everything but my blogroll. I'm almost done with my blogroll of 'thonners and it's pretty long so for the duration of the 24 hours it will all be about the blogathon.
I've met some amazing people while surfing blogs or reading the Blogathon forums. Some truly heartwarming stories of why people have chosen the charities they have. I came into this a complete newb, next year I know to start my planning in June!
Alright. I've come up with a list of 24 topics, one for each hour of the 'thon. I'm hoping that people will leave comments (I know the MUDders will, my Imm staff has all been recruited) and the second post of the hour will deal with people's comments. I'm sure as the night goes on and the sleep deprivation hits me this list will either expand or go completely out the window but it's a place to start!
The list is as follows, in the order which I will be doing my finest warbling and hell, I might even sing (It's all Ginger's fault if I break your eardrums!)
As for my blogroll, if anyone would like the code to add it to their own blog, let me know and I'd be more than happy to share it.
Ok, enough warbling, here's the list. Please take a moment or two and think over some of the topice, the more feedback I get, the easier to stay awake and the more fun it is!

Golf
Classic Literature
The Moody Blues
Broadway
Michael Connelly
Quitting Smoking

Let me say again how amazingly psyched I am for this and
how glad I am I got in on it this year!
ARGH, I totally forgot this!
I also have Shoutcast set up to work on this domain. I'll be posting my playlist later and I'll be streaming music and commentary (if I figure out that part) the entire 24 hours, all requests are welcome!
Jeez, Louise. Talk about one hodepodge lodge blog! Woo!

Just wanted to say, good luck. I saw you commented on another Blogathon’ers site after me, so I had to come by.
Your topics sound great, I’ll have to stop by during the ‘thon.

The greyhound lady! Hi there! I’m so glad you stopped by, I meant to sponsor you when I saw you on the hot spots. I’ve always had a love of Greyhounds and I think what you’re doing is awesome. I’m looking forward to the pictures and stories and maybe I’ll finally convince my parents to get that Greyhound they’ve been thinking about!

Oh, wow, thanks! We also sponsored you, because your cause is a wonderful one.
Thanks a lot. Greys are SO beautiful. We have a Whippet, but boy, I’d love an Italian Greyhound, our Whippet, and a Greyhound… Small, medium and large, haha!
Anyway, I hope we get more submissions soon… we’ve got a few, but not as many as we wanted! Such is the way it goes, I guess.

...Hockey!! I will do my best to post lots of comments on all, but you KNOW there will be hockey comments from me.
Best of luck, blog on!

You’d like his stuff, he’s an extremely talented writer. He does crime fiction, has a Detective named Harry Bosch and I’ve gotten wrapped up in them. I don’t know if you saw Blood Work with Clint Eastwood or not but that was one of his. Definitely recommended reading.

You like Erasure too? Kewl...I thought I might be the only one that liked Erasure and the Moody Blues
Andrea on 08/04 at 11:54 PM -
My two favourite all time groups along with Rainbow! I was a product of the 80’s, Erasure spoke to all my teen angst! I remember one Summer we went to 4 Moody Blues concerts all over, it was amazing and I’d do it again in a second!
Yaz, Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, my musical tastes never made it past the 80’s!

We have very similiar taste in music then
I got 2 Moodies shows this summer...hoping to pick up a third in Cincinatti in Oct. They put on a fabulous show.

There were two concerts that stand out in my mind. One was outdoors on the top of a mountain, it was amazing even if the entire mountain top was filled with pot smoke. heh. The best for acoustic value was Radio City Music Hall with a full orchestra, we had amazing seats and it took all I had not to get up there and grab Justin Hayward.. I missed them this year, very sad…
