I Hate Your Morality
Well, it looks as if it's over. The concession call has been made and the announcement is coming shortly. Now that it's all said done, I have some thoughts on the state of political affairs.
First and definitely the most important. It disgusted me and pissed me off to see ten states in this day and age vote against gay marriage. What the hell... For the record, I'm about as straight as straight gets and there aint no man or amount of money in the world that could ever get me to do anything of a sexual nature with a woman. But. But but but.
Who the HELL are we or anyone else to tell two people who have fallen in love that they can't be together and be recognised by law? I don't have the proper words to explain how much it angers me that people are placing constitutional amendments on gay marriage. In today's world?? Kids can't friggin' read, everyone's doped up on zombie pills, people can't find jobs but HEY, let's cram our morality down your throat and define marriage as a heterosexual only union.
Up yours, bub.
I really find this offensive on a personal level. I really don't like people sticking their morals in my bedroom or my home lifestyle and I don't recall asking stodgy politicians to define marriage for me.
This really makes me sick, this came off the CNN website: "Millions of people understand that it's not bigotry to believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and it's not right-wing to think that children need a mother and a father, not two mothers and two fathers," said Gary Bauer, president of American Values, a group opposed to same-sex marriage."
Exfuckenscuse me? Yes, moron, it is bigotry and arrogance to assume the responsibility of defining marriage. I don't see it as a union between a man and a woman, I see it as a union between two people in love who want to exclusively be with each other.
As for children. What a load of shit that is! Yes, I do believe the kids today are getting screwed. But they're getting screwed by their heterosexual parents who trust their mental health to non-qualified counselours at school. Parents who instead of the TV have discovered the internet makes a wonderful surrogate parent. Parents who don't have the time to read to their kids because they're too busy working to maintain the two BMWs and the lifestyle they can't afford. LOOK AROUND, the kids are already lost and it has nothing to do with Heather having two mommies.
I really hope this idiocy wakes people up. So much talk of the "youth vote" that never panned out, the youth should be outraged at their home states. I know this has motivated me to research gay rights groups and to become involved in doing something about this archaic horseshit.
Into the WebKittyn Dumbass Hall of Shame we induct the following states:
Arkansas
Georgia
Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Mississippi
North Dakota
Ohio
Oklahoma
Oregon
Utah

You know what, I have absolutely had it with politics and the lies, deception and restrictions of constitutional/civil liberties. I am just going to be out there with this, cause FUCK IT, if you won’t stand when the goose-steppers are walking in front of your house, you can’t whine when they take you from your house.
Considering the fact that my mother is a lesbian, and my father was no-participate, I don’t think I turned out bad, nor abnormal (though I have my quirks). These people have no idea what they are talking about, they preach from a book, not from reality nor in common decency toward others… what a novel thing to express from a religious representative… courtesy, decency, support, guidance, nonjudgment. I was absolutely disgusted by the amendment passage in Ohio, I thought people had more brains than this, but yet again, the ‘moral’ right has won out, even though it impinges upon the personal and identities of individuals. The amendment is extremely vague and ambiguous here, and can be used to not only restrict and disallow gay marriage but also civil union. It also disallows anything that takes the semblance of protection that is allowed in marriage (insurance, inheritance, co-ownership of property, etc.) which will not just affect homosexual couples, but also heterosexual couples that live together and don’t marry, or partners of companies that wish to co-own property.
What is this world coming to when you can veil BLATANT discrimination in “protection of marriage”. Since when does marriage need protected? If it truly had anything to do with marriage, wouldn’t they be seeking to treat the problem and not the symptoms, by schooling the underaged in family values in school and the issues of teen marriage, promoting less quick divorces, more standards for being able to get married than just showing up for a license and a priest.... any number of things. It’s all a lie people… worded in a manner to instill a sense that YOU as a heterosexual is married are under assault by those daring to call a union marriage (homosexuals). I ask those that voted for these amendments this… WHAT does a homosexual marriage do to damage or threaten YOUR marriage or your rights under the law? NOT A DAMN THING!
You want to talk about morals and protection, you people just walked across a whole group of people without a second thought, all in the name of marriage protection. Discrimination can’t be more blatant, prejudice more clear.
I’m tired of being silent. Discuss this with me and prove you didn’t understand what you were doing when you did it. LOOK A PERSON IN THE EYE AND EXPLAIN IT. When will the government restriction of liberties end? When will the condoning in the name of fear and prejudice end? Patriot Act… Marriage Amendments… WHAT IS NEXT?
My faith in humanity is crushed. There is nothing decent in any of you who claim to be religious and do this.
(Sorry for the tirade, Kali… this issue is just too close obviously)
Ignorance rules, enlightenment fades, hope wanes. Bring on the black arm bands and the junta, we have a nice fascist system in the works.

Personally, I’d like to see a Federal constitutional ammendment recognising ‘civil unions’ of same-sex couples with the same rights and priveliges as marriage, (from insurance to inheritance and all the rest).
Not using the ‘m’ word quietens the zealots somewhat. Why haggle over the name?
Another problem solved by the impractical proveditor of runner chickens!

No apologies necessary, Nav. You said it brilliantly and with emotion and you captured my sentiment exactly. I share your anger and thank you for picking the Warbles as a place to vent.
Well said, Captain. I concur.
