In My Child’s Eyes
Tape can be a band-aid.
A small talent now can be a career later.
A harmonica’s whine can be a dinosaur’s walk.
Blankets and pieces of paper can create a mini-golf course.
Stickers can be made with a piece of paper covered in saran wrap.
Dark tunnels can be exhilarating, but dark bedrooms can be frightening.
A tiny trinket can be treasured, while an expensive purchase can be forgotten.
Running around in circles on the lawn doesn’t take effort, but walking the length of a grocery store can be exhausting.
Fresh spinach can be ikky, but an old abandoned candy bar can be delicious.
A shovel, a bucket, and some dirt can provide hours of entertainment.
Blankets over heater grates can create a vast tent-castle.
Sticks glued on a piece of paper can be a forest.
Nonsense words can set off a fit of giggles.
Clouds can be a place to bounce.
Dreams can be possible.

In my child’s eyes, anything can be anything else.

Lovely Kari! What a gorgeous structure here. And perfect thoughts too!
We should all be able to see through child’s eyes and understand that the possibilities for everything are endless!jenn in holland on 07/01 at 03:48 AM -

I just love when my kids talk about their future professions. They change hourly!

I giggled when you wrote “tape can be a bandaid” because I did the same for my son this weekend! Great post!
