It Prattles!
The weather is truly amazing, I was just discussing this with a friend and it's worth a warble. For those of us who dread the approaching heat this is a gift from the Gods.
It is currently a cool 54 degrees in scenic Dobbs Ferry. The sky is grey and the wind is just starting to pick up. I just watched a tiny tugboat hauling this enormous barge up the river and the Gotard has left the building to procure the coveted iced blueberry coffee from Dunkin Donuts.
I woke up this morning happily snuggled deep under the green blanket and the very first thought I had was "Shining Force Scenario 2 is mine.."
People who for years hardly said more than a passing hello suddenly seem to want to know me (Fools! Run now, get out while there's still time!) and I'm not shutting them out. *mental note to ask said people why now, why all of a sudden*
Bruce Dickinson's acoustic "tears of the dragon" kicks the serious ass. As does "Nobody's Diary" by Yaz. "Empty Glass" by Townshend is still as awesome as it was when it came out.
Yesterday I got a present in the form of three books by my intellectual guru and thought shaper Nietzsche from a dear friend who happens to be in Iraq. He's in Iraq and he's sending me stuff? Wow.
The wind picks up even as I type.
I've come to check email in the morning and there's been something there besides 230 ads for a 'jackrabbit vibrator.' II love email, email is good. More email!
At least one other person in the world has downloaded and is aware of Louise Tucker's "Midnight Blue."
Michael Connelly released the newest Harry Bosch novel and Andrew Vachss is due out in a few weeks.
KFC has boneless buffalo and honey-bbq wings. Dinner!
Gooberville return mail sent.
The maelstrom is ending, seems as always I had little faith in myself. The insane rantings of the few did not tarnish the many.
The sky gets darker even as I type.
The building is actually happening, the clan altar system dreamed up 5 years ago with Helicon has finally come to life.
My blueberry coffee just walked in the door.
I suppose life could be considered good right about now.
Scary, aint it?
"Look around you
Look up here.
Take time to make time
make time to be there.
Look around
be a part.
Feel for the Winter but don't have a cold heart"
<-- Steal me!
