New Category - Where’s Karla?

I'm thinking of adding a category, the "Where's Waldo" of the Warbles. Only my category will be "Where's Karla?"

Of course I refer once again to Karly Curls herself, Karla Homolka. Because of the way Canada kept the whole case quiet with the media ban, there are still people who haven't heard of Karla. Everyone should know about Karla.

The movie is coming out with Laura Prepon, I don't know if they'll show it here but I'll get it eventually.

It blows my mind still that this monster is walking free and that her own family wants anything to do with her (although after seeing the Petersons offer a reward NOW for Laci's killer, nothing should surprise me). I can't imagine anyone willingly living next to Karla, I know I couldn't do it.

Quick run-down? Ok. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl are blonde and perky and gorgeous. Boy and girl start dating and fall in love. Girl gives 14 year old virgin sister to boy for Christmas present. Boy and girl drug sister and both have sex with her. Sister dies. Boy and girl get away with it. Boy and girl kidnap 2 other girls (one at a time), keep them for a few days, torture them and then kill them. One body is cut into pieces and dumped in the river. Cops start to get suspicious of boy for rapes not related to murders. Girl wimps out and cries battered wife. Girl gets sweet deal of 12 years if she testifies against boy. During trial, videos come out showing girl to be willing and eager participant. Girl gets her deal, walks out of jail 12 years later. By the way, girl had NO charges for her sister's death.

And the freaks who love Karla. People blow my mind, just because someone is pretty does it mean people have to fawn and look past things like oh I don't know, sociopathic murder?!?

So Karla is free and enjoying a life Tammy Lynn, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French will never have and I think that sucks. The Karla Homolka Death Pool was bought out and put to rest by sympathetic morons who think Karla should be allowed to walk the earth freely and peacefully.

"Where's Karla" - coming soon to a warbles near you. As for the movie, if it portrays Karla in a sympathetic light I'm going to throw produce at the screen. I give credit to Laura Prepon though, there are some photos that are eerily close to the real thing. You can tell she put a lot of time into getting the facial expressions and mannerisms down.

Put bluntly - this bitch should have rotted in jail.

  2. it played here, in vancouver, for like, a week and a half. there were protests. people got very adament about how the killings, etc. should not be hollywoodized. here’s the other props to laura prepon...she played one of the most controversial femail killers in the past couple of years of media history. if charlize got an oscar from monster - then really shouldn’t donna be up for it???

  4. Girl, I just read “Slow Death” by Jim Fielder. It’s a true crime story
with a female sadist in it also. But before I say anything else, I do NOT
recommend this book. It’s the first true crime book that I would say
NOT to get because this one is more about porn descriptions than crime.
That being said, other books have been written on David Ray Parker and I’ll bet they are better than this one, but the real
bad guy in the whole story.  His own daughter helped him out and kidnapped
victims for him to torture. She only got two years in jail, I think because
of a plea bargain with him.  He confessed to all the crimes and in return
they let the daughter out.  The whole justification for it is something like,
“Well, she can’t help it. She came from a bad background.” Yeesh

By the way I linked you in my blog. I told you I was too embarrassed
to have anyone come see it but I guess I’ll just take the plunge.

I just love true crime. When I was 19 a friend of mine was murdered
and it turned out the guy that did it had been on a long crime spree.
I ended up having to testify at the trial and it was very traumatizing.
As a result I’ve always been fascinated by what makes people like this tick.

  5. YummY, if you ever want to read a disgusting but fascinating case of depravity, look into Karla.  Even worse was the cushy time she had in jail and the number of fans she amassed.

Rilah, I would have been one of those standing on line to see it.  I admit this.  The movie has yet to get any press or play in the US, I’d like to see Laura get her props.

GusGreeper, amen my sister.  Well stated.

Myrtle, I’ll look into Parker.  The name rings a bell, I think my father has a book on him in the true crime section.  I’ve never had to testify, I almost did once but it never panned out.  True crime has been a fascination of mine since Berkowitz.  If I could change one thing in my life I’d be a profiler.

  6. i also would be a profiler - not just because of the slight obsession with serial killers (though not on gusgreeper’s level), but mostly due to my obsession with all things abnormal-psych oriented. I just revel in being able to diagnose a person’s depression/obsession/mood disorder. being crazy and precocious may one day pay off for me.

  7. Karla is a sick, sick woman.

I’ve always said that she should have rotted in the worst prison in
the world for her part in those horriffic muders. She was just smarter
than everyone gave her credit for. She made the deal with the police
BEFORE they knew exactly what her role was.

Makes her just as bad as Paul, if not worse.

  8. I was infuriated with that case and how easy she got off. I’m sure she’s been rehabilitated though. You know how a little time in prison magically rehabilitates sociopaths who donate their little sisters to rapists and enjoy it.

  9.
