I can't stand it, they keep showing the pictures of this stunning little girl in her cat costume and it makes me tear up every time I see it.
How can I not stop, even on my birthday, and comment on a genuine horror. This nine year old had a right to a life, she was a beautiful little girl who would have become a beautiful teenager and woman and she had a right to have this.
I had a bad feeling about it right from the start, she was too pretty and I remember telling the gotard she was a pedophile's dream child in terms of looks. You hold out hope though, you think of Elizabeth Smart and you hold out hope.
I never thought it was the father. Yes, he is a goober from a family of goobers living in the heart of gooberville but I never thought he had anything to do with it, unlike John Ramsey. I was a little wary of the grandfather for a while but it never felt like a family thing.
It's hauntingly close to the Danielle van Dam killing and it's beyond sad. I can't even begin to fathom, to walk into someone's home and take a child and a doll so you can rape her once and then kill her? It's worse than any fiction I've read (Vachss aside) and I can't imagine what this poor father is suffering right now.
The Sheriff impressed me, he was no goober. He did all he could and he did his job well but you could tell he didn't feel like a success. His emotions showed through in his talk today and my heart went out to him.
As for Couey and those other goobers who protected him, bleh. What the hell was this freak doing out on the streets, he has a criminal record that should have rendered him out of society. They say he's on suicide watch now, they better not let him kill himself. No easy escape for you, goober, I hope they stick your ass right in the middle of the General Population and walk away..
Just a truly sad and disturbing tragedy I had to write something about, it was bothering me and continues to do so.
