Pogo-a-Gogo Inaugural Episode - Charles Manson

Well, last night was the first Pogo-a-Gogo on KMRL. As it was the anniversary of the murders of Sharon Tate, her unborn child, Steven Parent, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring and Wojciech Frykowski it seemed only fitting to debut the show with Charles Manson.

I've been studying serial killers and other like-minded deviants for 25 years, the one regret of my life would be not becoming either an FBI profiler or coroner.

Pogo-a-Gogo is not a celebration of murder, I am not a serial killer groupie. The show is entertainment/informative as people seem to be interested in serial killers. The show will offer different facts and anecdotal information that people might not otherwise know along with whatever other specialties I have. This past week we played three songs off of Charles Manson's album along with the info and it went pretty well.

I think I sounded dopey but I always think I sound dopey.

The show is up for download at the KMRL Podomatic page and there is a forum on the station forums for the show. I have a list of serial killers there and I welcome anyone with an interest to add a name to the list and I'll cover the person. If it's someone I don't have personal knowledge on I'll take the time to dive deep into research before the show.

Next week I'm thinking Elizabeth Bathory but that's not etched in stone yet.

The Karla Homolka / Paul Bernardo show will be my personal favourite.

Pogo-a-Gogo, Friday mornings from 1:00AM-2:00AM EST on KMRL Mojo Radio Live and up for download the next day on the KMRL Podomatic page.

fun fact one: Pogo was the name John Wayne Gacy used when he was dressed as a clown performing for the kids. Fun fact two: the clown costume in the icon above is one of the actual costumes worn by Gacy.
