Progress Report
Thanks to the genius that is Meathe, the new design is coming along better than I thought it would be.
It's such a simple layout. Slightly girly but not offensively so and rather simplistic on eye candy. Such a simple layout that is such a massive task to achieve.
EE seems to do everything off of one template, the index. Instead of separate category arhives and the like, everything is executed right from the main index. It's tricky, it's weird, it's keeping my head off of the bad stuff. It would have been easier and more logical just to try and re-do this template but that would have been finished too soon and my head is screaming to be consumed with something.
I think I'll follow Utopia's lead and donate this template to BoRCom. I have the old templates I did for it but there are no MT 3 templates anywhere so I'll make a few variations of this one with colours and stick them up if anyone wants them.
In the meantime, the quest for the right look continues. I don't want to spoil the surprise and list the URL of where the work is going on but I really love the new look and I guess that's what matters.
One thing I know. I'm not attempting to bring any of it over here until every last element of the new look is exactly what I want.
Change. I need change.
