Reflecting
I'm proud of the way the station stuff all worked out this year. I was smart enough to learn from my many mistakes of last year and do it the right way this year without the histrionics. I'm not ashamed to admit I acted like a big ugly drama mama last year and it cost me a friendship and some dignity. But we learn from our screw ups I suppose. Took me about 11 months too long to apologise but I'm not always the bravest kid on the block.
This year I pulled it off with only one meltdown and I'm feeling pretty good. It's one thing to plan stuff out on paper, that's the easy part. To actually have it all work and work well when it goes live is major good juju. We've had glitches and hamsters and schedule changes and it's all gone down with laughter and fun.
Wasn't me, though. It was the amazing people I work with who understand that I'm a high-strung freaky sort of person who occasionally goes off the deep end but has the best of intentions. Without them I'd be a rambling lonely idiot with a big mouth.
I'm getting sappy. It's too early for sentiment!
