Shipping Watch
I hate waiting for things to ship.
I can keep a secret better than most but when it comes to something I've bought for someone else I completely and totally suck. It's not that I need the affirmation of 'hey, I bought you something, look at me,' it's not that. It's just that when I get something for someone I usually try like Hell to make it something they would really like.
I get off on being able to bring a little bit of happiness into someone's life. Nothing earth shattering, nothing work rocking but to be able to give someone a small unexpected smile is one of the greatest pleasures I have. People think I'm weird, I've been known to give random gifts for random reasons asking nothing in return. I like making people smile, too few people in the world today give a fat rat's ass if they make people smile and too many people in the world today get off on making people feel bad.
I just hate waiting for things to arrive, I constantly check order status until I see 'delivered' and then I can smile and sit back.
I think I was one of Santa's elves in a past life.
Sue me, I like to bring a smile.

I’m the same way. Waiting for my new cell phone cover is driving me nuts because they shipped it First Class Mail, so there’s no way to track it. They say it shipped from SoCal last Wednesday evening, and that it should take 3-8 days to arrive. Well, today’s the 8th day, it better damn well be in my mail box. In fact, I think I’ll run home real quick and check.

Just got back.

Absolutely nothing wrong with making people smile. Its fun to get a random gift sometimes too. Just a little reminder that you have a friend out there.
Here here to everyone who makes another smile. The world needs more people that do.

There is nothing I like better than to give people I love gifts.
I do this quite often. See something--purchased or found--that someone
would like or find meaning in, makes me happy. When sending gifts, I am completely impatient and usually spend a gazillion
$$ to get it there fast.malfouka on 03/22 at 06:51 PM -
I’m exactly the same way, I ship stuff and then die waiting.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog...it really made my day!!
It really is the small stuff that matters though. A few years ago a
friend of mine was contemplating suicide...he went into a store to by
some smokes, and the clerk behind the counter, smiled at him and said,
“Today, the sun shines just for you.” I don’t know...maybe he sensed
that my friend was on the brink...but whatever it was...he stopped him
from killing himself that day!Shellz on 03/23 at 10:51 AM -
See, I’m glad I’m not the only one and that there is random kindness in the world.
monogodo, I’d be calling and raising hell if it was me, you’re more patient than I could be.
Coyote - Thanks for commenting and for letting me know you read!
Kel - I know you’re like I am in that light, I’ve been the recipient of your kindness.
Malfouuka - once again I’m like you, I always do the speedy shipping stuff. Hey, thanks for visiting this place, too.
Shellz - Wow. Now that’s exactly what I’m talking about. Someday before I die I’d like to be the one who says the words that help someone like that, talk about making a difference while living.

Today is the 8th business day. If it’s not there, they’ll be getting a nastygram from me, demanding they overnight another to me, post haste. I’m getting tired of carrying my phone in my pocket.

You still haven’t gotten it? Man, I’d be raising holy Hell..
Go get ‘em, monogodo!
