Stability

I got lucky in the familial department, I realise this more and more every day as I talk to people. One could even possibly say blessed.

My parents recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary. That's a lot of years.. I remember when I was a kid in the *coughs you old fart* 70's and it seemed like my parents were the only ones who hadn't gotten a divorce. Although they've both had more than a few opportunities, there have never been any affairs or arguments that resulted in one walking out for any amount of time.

If I am a good person today, if I am intelligent and a clear thinker, if I am logical and sensitive and moderately sane it is because of my parents. They gave to me the sort of childhood I would hope every child would have. They have always been my best friends and will always remain first in my world above friends, relationships and anything else.

So many memories of my parents running through my head now. I'm sure I'll fill up this blog with stories of Jayne and Chuck but for now I just want to thank them for being the best parents a kid could dream of and for raising me with a set of core values that seems to be missing from today's kids.

I love you, mom and dad. You are the best..

1. Mom and Dad are the best. Your dad is one sick person in the world. How about going to the eye docter and when they put that thing in your face to blow air in your eyes. But in stead little spike go in your eyes. ohhhhhhhhhhhhh
