Suffer the Children
Father Charged With Schoolgirl's Murder
This is disturbing. Deeply disturbing. Highland Falls is across the river from my parents, it's a quiet place.
This story was bad enough yesterday before the arrest, I sat there with my dad trying to think who could possibly want to stab a 7 year old to death.. What kind of sick world are we into here when a 7 year old can't get through first grade safely?
My eyes teared up when they interviewed her grandfather the former police chief. I was relieved when they said they had cleared the father and the school staff, it's always the poor janitors they turn to first with their accusatory eyes..
Then I wake up today and find out they arrested the girl's father. What the HELL!?!? Her father? Daddy?
It's so profoundly disturbing I had to write something about it. Even with all the Andrew Vachss I've read it's still hard to comprehend how far some people will go when it comes to hurting their children. And this is cold blooded murder.
There is definitely a very special place in Hell for a man who would hold his daughter's hand and lead her into school only to brutally stab her to death when inside. Until he makes it to the afterlife though, were I in charge of the prison I would leave him right there, right out in the open in the general population. Let prison justice take him, save the taxpayers some money.
Sad. Incredibly sad.
