The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Warblers
Ok, this is the point where I trash the topic list.
I'm not tired yet, the cramps are definitely doing their best to make sure I fail but I've got will power and the friends and comments to keep me going.
I can't stick to any pre-set list of topics though, I'm sure I'll use some of them but I'm sort of winging it and having fun doing it..
However, I will say that Rainbow is one of the best bands that have ever graced the planet and Blackmore is one HELL of a guitarist. All Rainbow, the Dio days and the Turner days, as long as it's Rainbow it's good.
They are also one of the most un-recognised bands out there. I would love to mention Rainbow to someone and have them say "holy shit, I love Rainbow" but all I usually get is a "huh?"
Very different music styles, the Dio songs are sort of what I would call medieval metal. Temple of the King, Gates of Babylon, Stargazer.. Metal with a medieval theme and sound and very entrancing. The Turner stuff is more mainstream old style rock - I Surrender, Since You Been Gone, Starstruck..
Anyone who likes classic hard rock with one of the best guitar players ever is missing out if they don't have Rainbow in their collection!
