The Movies Ate My Braaaaaaaaaains!

Oy vey, someone kick me back into reality..

In the past three days my father and I have watched six zombie movies. One of these was actually a good one where they said 'braaaaaains' but the other five... Oh sweet Jesus, the other five..

I fear my grey matter has begun to turn to mush in the midst of these gems. I thought I had found a new wave of cheese with nazi zombies one and two but no, I've topped those.

First there was this one, this was the only good one in the pack, the saving grace..

Next came this one, I should have stopped there.

The next day we picked it up with this beauty, and it was ...... I can't find the right words..

Ah! here's one with Robert Vaugn called Killing Birds! Oddly enough, it has no killing birds.

Today it was the much anticipated killer kitties. A 63 minute flick and at least 20 minutes is the nutty killer flying around in a helicopter peering at women sunbathing.

We ended it with this wonder and at this point I felt my mind melting.

There are more, it may get worse. I may never recover.

  1. I absolutely loved Return of the Living dead when it first came out. I found it absolutely hilarious (but then I laughed in ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ when the german guy backed into the propeller). I thought it was something that could go either way with age, either staying as funny, or just imploding into stupidity.  I’m glad to hear its the former, I’m going to have to rewatch it.

Incindentally, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ is a film I had the damndest time renting (at the start of my accent woes).  Ask at the counter if its in stock always ran like this:

ME:  “Do you have a copy of Raiders of the Lost Ark?”
THEM: “Writers of the list Irk?”
ME:  “No… Raiders of the lost Ark.”
THEM: “Oh.” (checks) “Riders of the list irk, we don’t have that.”
    (rinse, repeat over several iterations)
ME:  “The first Indiana Jones film. Harrison Ford. Nazis.”
THEM: “Oh, you mean Raiders of the Lost Ark! No, thats out at the moment.”

  2. Speaking of bad zombie movies....

Have you ever seen “The Dead Hate the Living”?

  3. Meathe - It’s the sexy Aussie accent, that’s a good thing.

YummY - I hadn’t heard of it before but I went and checked Amazon and put in on this week’s order.

  4. I’m not just a pretty face after all.  I’m also good for reccomending
    bad zombie movies. -grin-

  5. I recommend “Cars that Eat People” and “Killer Clowns from Outer Space” if you’re into bad Horror movies. I’m a goob like that. I like the fake blood and gore and bad plots with silly excuses for boobies. If you’re into bad witchcraft movies (those are my favorite) try “Black Circle Boys”. It’s a real ... uh ... treat.

I’ll have to look for some more bad zombie movies. I know I’ve seen plenty, I just can’t think of the names off of the top of my head. They all sort of run together, you know? I know there is one called “Boy Eats Girl” that is mildly entertaining and “Zombie HOneymoon” is good for a snicker.

Here is a good page for random zombie movie reviews:
