Unsung Heroes

It's a sad state of affairs when three firefighters die on the same day, it has been said there is nothing more heart-wrenching than the funeral of a firefighter killed on duty.

I believe it's seven children who will now grow up without their fathers, firefighters seem to like large families.

My condolences, prayers and thoughts go out to the families. It's hard enough to accept the death of a father or a husband but to know that death came from a 50 foot leap out a window only makes it harder.

We don't pay firefighters enough. We don't take the right care of them and we don't give them what they need.

Get off your ass, get up, go out and thank a firefighter.

   Today is the Second Anniversary of his passing and it still hurts. God Love ya Rich! Ya done good.
