Where’s Karla?!?
Could it be true? Could Karly Kurls once again be a free member of Canadian society? Say it isn't so!
I was doing my routine Karla check, I knew she was due to get out soon but "any day between June 28 and July 5" is NOW. Whoa. You mean Karla could be home right now eating a pizza and gaining back her life?!?!? Whoa.
I'm not from Canada and I don't know enough of their justice system to make an educated opinion so I won't. But this is the land of the warbles so let's go for the uneducated opinion.
Karla Homolka is the shame of Canada (sorry, it's not Bryan Adams, it's Karla). The deal should never have been entered into and once the facts of the case came out, the deal should have been nullified. She walked away with nothing for her equal part in her sister's death. 4 years a life??? Come on, people, a young gir's life has GOT to be worth more than 12 years.
Her prison antics made me sick to read about. Posing for prison porn, partying with cats in the block, sunbathing in bikinis?!?!? And she whines she's afraid of what people will do when she's out..
If I did live in Canada I would be outraged and doing all I as a citizen could do keep Karla Homolka out of public life This does not mean kill her. While I personally would be glad if someone did the vigilante thing on her but I'm not advocating that. How can the lawmakers in Canada look the Mahaffys and the Frenches in the face and say they stand for THEM.
I get the sick freaks who think she's some sort of cult goddess. Makes me sick but I get it, hell even Rick Ramirez and those slimy Menendez boys had followers. There's always some lonely lost soul who finds their 15 minutes with a serial killer.
And that's what she is, don't feed me the battered wife crap.
What I don't get is how an evolved society could have so badly bungled such a horrific and explicit case and how a monster like Karla Homolka could at this VERY moment be in the house next door to YOU.

Not sure where you’re keeping tabs on this, but the CBC (latest story) is keeping a Karla watch. It looks like she’s got another few days, with her trying to get protection from all the upset people up there. But come on, she’s not a bad person, according to the psychiatrist. *snort*
I wonder if my parents’ MLA and MP would consider my opinion as a citizen if I’m not a resident…

Being from Canada and not that far from where the events took place, I fear for my daughters safety. I think she was more than a willing participant in the rapes and murders. He had been a rapist for a while in the Scarborough area but after he got together with Karla things escalted. W-5 did a show with some video tape of her in the house where the murders took place, she was so unemotional, if she was innocent as she pleads she would have been devasted to be back at the scene of the crime, instead she asked about furniture, perfume collection, and something her living sister wanted. From what I have seen of her I get the sense in her mind it is all about her. Her family on the other hand I just don’t understand, if one of my children participated in the rape and death of another of my children I am not sure that I would be quit as chummy as they are with her. All we can do is hope that she gets what is coming to her, she deserves to suffer as much as those young girls did. The other young girl that was drugged and raped by them, “Jane Doe” has come forward I hope that they can still charge ( not sure of the statue of limitations on a rape) her with the rape as there is video tape of Karla with the victim before her husband came home from work. Karla is so sick part of the tape that was on W-5 showed a very drugged girl lying on a floor with a dog on it’s back beside her, her face was blurred out but it looked like her and the dog were kissing, the young girl looked like she had no control over her body, very sick.
