World?  What World?

What a beautiful sentence to see:

"On truck out for delivery."

That means it's coming today.



I am truly giddy. Talk about absoultely purrfect timing.

There is nothing - nothing - that serves as a better distraction than a Burke book. I shall be able to get up, away from this machine and the petunia pissers who haunt the net, and get completely and utterly lost in Burke.

Thank you, Amazon. Thank you, Andrew Vachss. It's been a long time coming.

1. Why O WHY am I unfamiliar with Burke?
   I am going to purchase one the next time I visit the bookstore.

   If you please, what might the first Burke book be?

2. I *love* Vachss!  If the new one is out today, i am on the way to my bookstore after work!

   The first one is “Flood” but you could easily start with my favorite “Blue Belle” and then go forward or back from there.
