Wow, Thanks People
So much awesome support on the quitting smoking, it's truly appreciated. I never quite realised how much I had come to depend on the little buggers, as much in my head as my physical need.
When I was a little girl a thousand years ago I cried and cried and cried until my father quit. He smoked two packs a day of unfiltered cigarettes. He finally just gave in to my tears one day and quit cold turkey and never went back. It's always been something I admired about my dad.
I don't have that sort of willpower but that's alright, it's ok to admit I need the help of the patch and the support of my friends to keep me away from the cancer sticks. The comments are things I will come back to and look at when the devil on my shoulder is blowing smoke in my face.
Thank you, people. Thank you. I hope you give you all reason to be proud. Especially my dad.
