Faith?
Were I a religious being with a new pope and all, this would be the time I would ask for some sort of affirmation of the faith. Not proof, I'm certainly not one any sort of Higher being would have to prove anything to but an affirmation of faith because faith is fastly becoming a memory.
I've lost belief in a cause I've supported since the eighties I've come to accept the "It's Not the Same"
I've been beaten down by a MT plugin that SHOULD be working
I've watched pus spurt out of my toe
I've been unable to put my foot down flat for a day
I've cut my knuckles plugging in the AC
I've been told how healthy my cat is only for him to get sick 4 days later.
I've stopped hoping for the elusive 'two good days.' They are myth
I've seen the cynic come in and take over and she stays
So yes, were I a religious being this would be the time I would ask with sincerity for an affirmation of faith.
But I am not a religious being and have no right to go asking for affirmations from something I've never accepted into my own belief system.
But it sure would be nice to be able to ask and believe and have faith.
Me, I have a concrete view of the empirical, winning over the normative and draining what little there is left.
