Intruder!
We're being taken over by unknown cats with loud meows. I'm used to Claude and his wimpy excuse for a meow, these buggers are loud!
We'll give it a night or two and then I'm calling Forgotten Felines to come get at least the one, this is no stray. It's a large dark thing, looks like a Russian Blue or some sort of purebred. It's obviously well fed but it has no collar. The other one is young, all black with gorgeous yellow eyes. It's small, I'd say under a year.
No clue where they came from but two nights ago the big one shows up and spends the whole night yowling. The whooooooole night. Right outside the window. It didn't want food, it just wanted to stand there and yoooooooooowl.
Last night I was a little concerned, it was so friggin' cold and it was snowing and windy.. Sent the Gotard out to see what the meows were and he comes in and announces a third cat, the little guy. He goes back out and comes back and says the little one is friendly. Woo!
Out I go into the snow. We scooped the little one and brought it into the house, it was funny. He was scooting all over the place and Gotard was chasing him, it was definitely the high of the night. I wasn't sure what we were going to do with him but it turns out he hopped on Gotard's bed, meowed at Bay and they both went out the window. Ok, have fun in the snow, morons..
They were out there this morning when Gotard left for work. The little guy was under the smoker (BBQ) and the big thing ran off the second the door was opened. None of them wanted to be petted or come inside so I left them out there meowing and hissing and doing their thing.
As much as they amuse me, it's cold out there and the big guy has to be someone's pet. We'll check the vet and the Stop and Shop and see if anyone's put anything up but if not I'll give FF a call and see what they say. As for the little guy, Gotard thinks he's Martin's. We'll see.
