It Aint Love the World Needs Now
It's common courtesy.
I've noticed this a lot in the past few days, common courtesy and the most simplistic level of decency seem to be seriously missing in most of the world. People say "I don't have to" and while they may be right, it still sucks. No one HAS to use common courtesy when dealing with people but it sure makes life more pleasant. People think just because they can do or say something that makes it alright to do or say it.
I say hooey.
People used to be polite and manners/common courtesy were values parents passed on to future generations. It's all been replaced by one-upmanship and the ever popular "I don't have to."
Feh. Bleh.
People don't appreciate small things they receive from others like common courtesy, loyalty, decency. This makes me sad, sometimes the world makes me sad. Who the Hell wants to live in a world where "I don't have to" is the phrase universally accepted in lieu of manners.
Sometimes I wish I was religious, I'd make a great nun and it wouldn't be so bad to be away from the masses who strive only for their own fulfillment. Unfortunately they don't want nuns who don't accept the whole religious aspect.
I'm just seriously tired of the lack of common courtesy I'm seeing all over. Nothing I can do to change the world but I can pull back from what I see and use it as a reminder to myself the next time I'm about to do something that excludes common courtesy.
Hey look, resolution 37.
