JC Penney is forever on my blacklist from this point on. I was ok when "Man on the Silver Mountain" was used because it was Coors and if they're going to use Rainbow, it might as well be for something useful like beer.

But Pete? For JC-fricken-Penney??? Helllllllll, no.

There aren't many albums that would bother me to see used in commercials, I was twitchy but alright with Depeche Mode and I understand that my generation is getting to the age where we have the money to be the consumers but I'm just not willing to accept this.

Pete Townshend's "Empty Glass" is more than an album to me, it's a sacred tome that has been a part of my life since 1980. "I Am An Animal" is my personal anthem. "A Little is Enough" pretty much explains the way I see sex. "And I Moved" is a strong mood setting song. "Let My Love Open the Door" I've always wanted to give to someone. It goes on, there isn't one song on that album that doesn't have some strong personal meaning.

And JC Penney takes it to rape it for their commercial.

I hope Pete is getting paid a decent royalty at least, if this disgusting desecration has to happen then Pete should be making money off of it.

As for me, I will never again purchase anything from JC Penney, they broke my heart.
